Forbes Services Memorial Club helps Community Groups prosper in 2016
$80,000.00 IN FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
GIFTED TO FORBES COMMUNITY GROUPS
A total of thirty six (36) community groups have shared in receiving financial assistance from Forbes Services Memorial Club in 2015/16 totalling in excess of $80,000.00. This financial assistance will assist in running of their respective organisations and to help them prosper.
The latest chunk of funding totalling $44,000 will be presented to the recipients at a cheque presentation ceremony on Thursday 22nd September 2016 at 6.30pm. Members of the Club and general public are invited to attend.
In addition to this financial assistance, the Club has also supported numerous community groups with sponsorships and In-Kind donations, including free room hire for not-for-profit community group meetings. We estimate these sponsorships and In-Kind donations to be in the tens of thousands.
Financial Assistance Recipients for 2015/16 are: Lachlan Legacy, Forbes Torchbearers for Legacy, Forbes North Public School, Forbes High School, Red Bend Catholic College, Forbes State Emergency Services, Forbes Rural Fire Services, Camp Quality, Forbes Basketball Association, Can Assist Forbes, Youth Week, Forbes Australia Day Committee, Forbes Rugby Union Club, Forbes Senior Cricket, Bedgerabong Picnic, Forbes Sportsperson of the Year, Forbes Country Music Association, Forbes Golf Association, Lachlan Valley Community Radio, Forbes Eisteddfod, Sculpture Forbes, Red Bend Junior League, Forbes Picnic Races, Forbes Diggers Swimming Club, NSW Small Winemakers Wine Show, Forbes Aboriginal & Community Working Party, Forbes Camel Races, Havannah House, House With No Steps, Forbes Sports Auto Club, Mater Nursing Home, Jemalong Retirement Village, Forbes Junior Cricket, Forbes Rodeo, Forbes Jockey Club and Forbes Diggers Harness Racing Club.
President of Forbes Services Memorial Club Wayne Richards said, “We think this financial support is not just a gift to the recipients, but also to the whole community”. Mr. Richards went onto say “all financial assistance is aimed at helping as many local community groups as possible”.
