THE DELLTONES

One of Australia's best bands 'The DELLTONES' www.thedelltones.com will be appearing at the Club on Wednesday 13th October 2010. Tickets will go on sale soon!

"When we first started in 1958" Peewee points out, "there was no local music industry and radio was mostly playing imported records so a lot of people were telling us that we might as well enjoy ourselves while we could because that music wasn't going to last; rock 'n' roll was a passing fad which would soon disappear."

In fact, the Delltones have never been more visible.

Seen recently at the memorable benefit concert for the legendary Max Merritt at the St. Kilda Palais, where 60s, 70 and 80s icons rubbed shoulders and swapped notes, the Delltones represented the first decade and generation of Oz Rock with such vigor and charm that they were one of the half dozen acts highlighted (for their "highly polished harmonies") alongside Joe Camilleri and Daryl Braithwaite in a review in The Age.

The Delltones represent tenacity and durability and those qualities do not go unnoticed by bands just beginning their career path. Chris Cheney of The Living End was asked the question by Insider magazine: Memories of the first concert you went to? "One of the first live bands I saw was The Delltones and it was just brilliant"

FROGS ON TOAST

FROGS ON TOAST www.frogsontoast.com.au is a variety/dance showband sensation which has put the fun back into the live music scene. This is hilarious entertainment from the very start. FROGS ON TOAST continues to thrill audiences throughout Australia and regular appearances at Twin Towns Services Club has kept them in hot demand. The Team: Trish Allen as Madame Ed Wylde as M'Sieur Amanda Wylde as M'Moiselle Jeff Vandenberg as Napoleon Bony Part Mick Ellis as M'sieur Le Bang Bang Geoff Hale as M'sieur Musky Tier. All performers in FROGS are experienced artists in their own right and have vast experience with live bands and shows, corporate and club functions, theatre restaurants, television and radio. This excellent mix of exceptional talent is evident from the moment they ‘invade’ the stage dressed appropriately for the occasion – French! The best music from the ‘70’s through to the present day is coupled with the worst French accents you’ve ever heard to bring you a night with a difference. It’s hilarious! The concept was planned very carefully so that party animals who want to dance the night away can do so to first class classic pop and dance music and those who simply want to sit back and be entertained won't be disappointed. The ‘FROG’ dress sense alone will keep you watching! FROGS ON TOAST is an exceptionally versatile showband which can adapt to suite any occasion, be it a Friday dance night for the younger crowd where the music doesn’t stop and the pace is hot or a theatre restaurant setting where FROGS pull out their “celebrities” and send them into the crowd, celebrities such as Kylie Minogue, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson (gotta be seen to be believed), Tina Turner, Mick Jagger, AC/DC, Meatloaf, Britney and Cher to name just a few. With FIVE nominations for the prestigeous Australian 'MO' Award for live entertainment, FROGS ON TOAST have won two - best Showband and Best Production Show. They have also had nominations four years running for an ACE Award (Australian Club Entertainment)and the results here will be announced later in the year. So here it is – a variety/dance/showband which truly appeals to every age group. It’s unique, it’s entertaining, it’s adaptable and it’s very funny.

BUDDY'S BACK

"BUDDY’S BACK ! is one of the most exciting shows to hit the Australian cabaret circuit in years."
During this two hour show Scot Robin who played the lead role in the smash hit musical "Buddy", (Original cast) will perform over thirty of Buddy Holly’s hit songs including; "That’ll Be The Day" , "Peggy Sue" , "Raining In My Heart", "Rave On" and of course "Oh Boy!". BUDDY’S BACK! has and will continue to excite audiences both visually and musically with its high energy performance, brilliant costumes and fantastic musicianship.
